What Happened

Mosquito DK300, operated by 1655 Mosquito Training Unit from RAF Warboys, was on a training flight on 22 July 1944 when it crashed near Pidley, Cambridgeshire. Flight Lieutenant John Wilmer and Flying Officer Adam Carter H. McConnell-Jones were both killed. Engine Fitter James Henry of 1409 Met Flight was also recorded among those lost at the site. No survivors are noted from the crash.
